The workplace is evolving rapidly, on pace with global events and the rise of incoming generational cohorts.  Prior generations were indoctrinated in the norms and expectations of the current executive cohort.  Today the workplace is transitioning to those of succeeding generations.  A new leadership paradigm is now required, one that embraces both the ethos of emerging leaders and the wisdom and experience of those who have laid the foundations of today’s enterprises.

Core Principles

The quality of our conversations determines the quality of our relationships…

… and the quality of our relationships determines the quality of the systems and organizations we live and work in.”

~ Sean O’Connor, University of Sydney

  • Productive conversation requires listening without parameters and balancing inquiry with candor.

“Diversity is a potentiality that must be activated.”

~ Priya Parker

  • Team effectiveness is a function of culture – how team members interact and relate – and productivity – how effectively and efficiently the team gets work done.

“...the depth and usefulness of outer conversations depend on an internal conversation that is occurring within each individual"

~ David Whyte

  • Leaders must have their own conversation to examine their orientation to work, heighten their awareness about their strengths and blind spots, and develop an intentional approach to leadership that reflects their true self.
  • Core qualities of effective leadership include resolve, willingness to listen to and learn from others, and balance between relationship development and task focus.

“Mystification is simple; clarity is the hardest thing of all.”

~ Julian Barnes

  • Every organization must have a clear directional heading that is understood and embraced by all.   Leaders must communicate the company’s purpose, behavioral expectations, measures of success, and current priorities clearly and persistently.
